Permanent loss of pleasure and sex drive from an SSRI antidepressant I took 5 years ago short term

I only took it for a month and it was 5 years ago. I’ve had a condition called PSSD ever since. No sex drive, numb emotions, anhedonia and zero pleasure in orgasms. Just totally numb. This has been a devastating 5 years. r/PSSD has many stories just like mine. I’m so lost everyday from this and don’t know what to do. PSSD isn’t well known or understood. I’m so fucking depressed from this every day man.

I had the same condition after 2 years of use. A 8 week cycle of 200mg/week test prop, plus clomid pct, cured it permanently.

What T levels did you go to and did you have low T beforehand or you just went supeaphysiological anyways?

When I was on Sertraline I was around 220ng/dL. Didn’t test on cycle. I wanted to come off the antidepressants and had heard they can cause T to plummet so I decided to run the cycle to see what effect it would have on mentally and physically. Safe to say it completely transformed me for the best. And with the pct I returned to 450ng/dL. I do allot of cardio so my levels aren’t as high as possible but I feel fine again now.

That's interesting, thats a lot of Test, hopefully you would share a bit more? Did the clomid prevent testicle shrinkage and shutdown? What what it like stopping the cycle? Did you crash hard?

I didn’t have any testicular shrinkage over the 8 weeks luckily. Didn’t crash hard coming off, the pct was clomid at 50mg/day for 3 weeks then 25mg/day for 2 weeks.

I got the same condition from finasteride. I did TRT and then a PCT but didn’t work in my case. I’m back on TRT but it doesn’t do anything. Did you have a libido while on the test? Or only after PCT?

Libido almost immediately noticeable on test. But it is propionate so that explains things to a degree. Libido remained after pct, sure not as intense as on cycle, but night and day difference to pre-cycle.
