How I Cured My Problem With Post-finasteride Syndrome

Modill Oct 25, 2019

Hi, I will tell you how I solved my problem with post-finasteride syndrome, which produces no erections or little libido even if you have stopped taking the famous drug years ago. Although there are many deniers about this syndrome, the reality is that it is happening to many people. I took finasteride for 6 years as follows: I took finasteride for a year and a half, and then stopped 4-5 months, and then repeated another year and a half, stopped again 4-5 months, etc., like this for 6 years. Whenever I started taking finasteride, libido lowered me so much that there were times when I couldn't have a strong erection. But as soon as I stopped taking it, I recovered all my sexual power in 2 weeks, and I was like the beginning, so I didn't worry because I knew that when I left it, I was recovering in 2 weeks. While I was taking finas, I accompanied finasteride with epilobium (natural plant), and my libido improved a bit. On the last break I did, I stopped taking finasteride and the libido took almost 2 months to recover, and I was quite scared, and when I returned to take finasteride, I only needed 2 days for my libido and erections disappeared almost altogether. I had never been affected so quickly. So I took finasteride for a month and then left it again to see how long it took for the libido to recover. Unfortunately, I never recovered, and so I was 3 years so far. At that moment I stopped taking finasteride forever. I can't say that I haven't had erections or libido since I left finasteride. Some days I was at 50%, other days at 70%, then I returned to 50%, maybe another day I recovered up to almost 80% of my sexual potency, but I never fully recovered, and I was always closer to 50% than 80% of my capacity. Of course, never 100%. I visited dozens of urologists and endocrines and they did all kinds of analysis and found nothing. The problem is that the analyzes of male sex hormones include: FSH, GOT, GPT, LH, Prolactin, TSH, T3, T4, Testosterone and Free or Total Testosterone, DHEA-sulfates, etc., but never include the DHT analysis specifically . After 2 years of endless visits to urologists, I was recommended to visit a doctor specialized in Anti-Aging medicine who was consulting at the Planas clinic in Barcelona. Anti-aging is not aesthetic medicine, but it is a medicine that analyzes all the hormones, minerals, amino acids, heavy metals and other factors of your body as well as your food intolerances that you may have, and depending on the results, they prescribe the minerals, amino acids, proteins and hormones you need. After consulting with this doctor, he asked me to do a super complete analyzes. There is only one laboratory in Spain that could do it: Teletest. It costs me 2200€ and you can see them attached with the name of "Analysis". You can see handwritten in the header of each page: - In green: OPT (optimal) - In yellow: LEV (mild) - In orange: MOD (moderate) - In red: SEV (severe) Those are the reference values to be taken. In modern medicine, when you do some analysis, the results are classified among values that are suitable for both an 18-year-old and a 70-year-old. That is, if the kid or the old man gets a value (for example, DHT value in this case) among the values stipulated by the analytics, then the analytics is fine. Anti-aging medicine, as far as I know, analyzes the exact value you should have of each parameter based on sex, age, weight, height, and many other factors. Also Anti-aging medicine is a holistic medicine that studies what value a hormone should have in terms of other hormones. It does not analyze each hormone separately. On page 55 you can see that my testosterone should be between 7-10 values, and I have 8.27 so it is fine. But on page 56 you can see how DHT should be between values of 0.7 and 1, and it's at 0.38. Far below !! Therefore the problem is that Testosterone is not converting to DHT (note: finasteride blocks the conversion of Testosterone to DHT). Therefore, although doctors prescribe testosterone to try to solve cases like mine, the problem is not cured. Only can solve the problem by taking DHT. Now check my prescription attached with the name of "Prescription". Apart from a lot of minerals and some hormone that I was lacking, I have been prescribed a 2.5% DHT gel that is applied to the shoulders and forehead once a day. The problem is that pharmacies do not sell DHT, I couldn't found anywhere. DHT treatment was given years ago to transgender women who wanted to become men, under the name of Andractim, but it no longer exists. After searching and searching and calling all pharmacies specialized in formulations in Spain, Germany, France, United Kingdom, etc., for a year and a half, I found a laboratory that gave me the contact of another laboratory in the United States that also has a laboratory in China. Finally I was able to bring the hormone powder to Spain in a completely legal way (I have an invoice), and it was possible to process it in a pharmacy that transformed it into liposome gel. You can see the photo of the final product attached. I had to buy the minimum order of 1 Kg of pure DHT, and I paid a huge quantity of money. Also I paid a lot for the Custom taxes and to process it is in a pharmacy. Now I have DHT to produce 333 bottles of DHT at 2,5%. The lack of DHT not only affected my libido, but also my mood, since DHT plays a fundamental role in the human body. Now I can happily say that I no longer have any problem, strong erection all day and all night. Incredible! Best regards

Hi PetersonKj, I am not NW1, I am diffuse thinner and I am almost bald in the crown. By my doctor said that people get bald when the relation between Testosterone and DHT is not 1:10 As I told you, my doctor said that the correlation should be: DHT: 0,7 - 1 ng/mL Testosterone: 7-10 ng/mL Now I am taking all the medicines of the prescription, included DHT, and I will repeat the analysis. My doctor said that hairloss will stop taking DHT. Let's see what happens. But this can be the reason why people have a strong shedding non-stop when they start taking finas. Regards

So you consider yourself recovered from PFS while you are on the DHT treatment? Can I ask how much of the 2.5% formulation you use daily? Have you measured your DHT since you started the treatment? I also have PFS and below normal DHT and also take transdermal DHT but I have no results on core PFS symptoms.

Heard more stories that DHT supplementation helped. Btw, is it the intention that you eventually quit with DHT or do you need to supplement it for the rest of your life?

Hi ngc800. I am fully recovered by using DHT. I started 3 weeks ago, and I will repeat analysis this week. I will tell you the value. I use 1 pump at forehead and shoulders daily. You can check my prescription attached. Where did you find DHT?
